USS Enterprise CV-6 Aircraft Carrier MIDWAY WIP

USS Enterprise (CV-6) was a Yorktown-class fleet aircraft carrier and one of the key U.S. carriers at the Battle of Midway (4–7 June 1942). Operating in Task Force 16 alongside USS Hornet under Rear Adm. Raymond Spruance, Enterprise launched SBD Dauntless dive-bombers, TBD Devastator torpedo planes, and F4F Wildcat fighters in the decisive attacks that helped cripple and sink Japanese carriers—most famously contributing to the destruction of Akagi and Kaga on June 4, and later strikes against Hiryū. Enterprise took part in the battle without being sunk or knocked out, and her air group suffered heavy losses—especially among the torpedo squadrons—during the attacks.
